If we were to divide our entire life experience through the lens of the past (what has been) and the lens of the present (what is), we would have more than enough case studies through which we could clearly understand our own position and place on the ethical compass.
The answer can be avoided, hidden, or never sought. However, it can always be derived.
A collection of such experiences can clearly show where an entire society stands when it comes to the implementation of ethical standards. Whatever the outcome may be, what follows is inevitable—the future and a new period of experience in which we can either improve the ethical landscape of social practice or maintain the level of its decline, a scenario in which no social progress can exist.
The criterion of everyday life begins with the individual and with who that individual is, wherever he or she may be, whatever he or she does or aspires to do.
Such a broad spectrum of diversity that forms a social system can be connected by only a few things, but ethics—as a necessary and essential element, often neglected as a clearly defined pillar compared to other binding pillars—represents a rare universal connective tissue of society and any form of community (family, company, ministry, neighborhood, etc.).
This is one of the reasons why consistent ethical practice in everyday life is a necessary prerequisite for its improvement.
With that goal in mind, we invite you to apply for the Second Cycle of the School of Ethics program, to be held at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, from December 5 to 7, 2025, so that together we can acquire the tools needed to improve the implementation of ethical standards in everyday life.
